Andrea Bocelli and daughter Virginia Bocelli, 12, perform duet in new footage | Music | Entertainment
Just over four years ago, Andrea Bocelli’s 8-year-old daughter made her professional debut in a special duet with him.
The Italian tenor invited Virginia Bocelli on stage at the Teatro Regional di Parma opera house as part of his socially distanced live-streamed concert Believe in Christmas.
Picking up an acoustic guitar, he strummed along and sang a duet of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah with his talented child.
Since then, his rising star daughter has performed live with her father worldwide and was part of the Bocelli Family Christmas album alongside her brother Matteo Bocelli, who has also followed in Andrea’s footsteps.
Now aged 12, the new footage of her latest Hallelujah duet has been posted on her father’s Instagram page.
The clip celebrates Andrea Bocelli’s 30th anniversary of career and was taken from Andrea Bocelli—30 Years of Inspiration Encore, which was recently broadcast in the US. Virginia, who turns 13 in March, will undoubtedly eventually put out her debut album just as Matteo did last year.
