Meghan Markle recently shared a message addressing her with an HRH title and the move did not go down well with the royals, according to an insider.

The Duchess of Sussex, who was a working royal for two years, quit her royal duties in 2020 along with her husband, Prince Harry, and they both moved to the US, where they have settled with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Following their bombshell departure, the Sussexes agreed to no longer use their HRH titles, while their Sussex titles have always been a subject of debate among royal watchers.

On January 18, following Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down as senior working royals, Buckingham Palace released a statement, which said: “With The [late] Queen’s blessing, the Sussexes will continue to maintain their private patronages and associations.

“While they can no longer formally represent The Queen, the Sussexes have made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty.”
